God draws every person by the leading of the Holy Spirit. This is the greatest calling any person could ever respond to and it is the only way to have true fulfillment.

It was never Christ’s plan for us to be stagnant. Each person has a commission to “go”. We must reach for a hurting world and restore our community with The Gospel.
Beliefs
The Great Commission
We believe in the great commission and are endeavoring to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with love, mercy and compassion.
Father, Son, & Holy Spirit
We believe there is only one God. Deuteronomy 6:4. He is the creator of heaven and earth, and of all living beings. He has revealed Himself to humanity as the Father (Creator), as the Son (Savior), and as the Holy Ghost (indwelling Spirit).
Baptism
We believe in water baptism by immersion in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sin. Through baptism we identify with the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Romans 6:3-6; Colossians 2:11-14; Acts 2:38.
The Holy Spirit
We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the initial sign of speaking in other tongues. Acts 2:4
Gifts of the Spirit
We believe in the manifestation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. He ministers to His people through tongues, interpretation of tongues, prophecy; words of knowledge and wisdom, discerning of spirits, faith, working of miracles, healing, helps and government. Mark 16:15-18; Acts 5:16; 2 Corinthians 12:1-11
About Our Pastor
Pastor Akers was called into the ministry in 1983 at the age of 17. He was raised in Sanford, NC and is the son of the late Bishop G.L. Akers and Connie Akers (currently residing in Sanford). He began travelling as a fulltime evangelist at the age of 19. His travels took him throughout the United States for almost 9 years. Sis. Rhonda Akers became a part of that ministry in 1988 when they were married. Rhonda was raised in Wabash, IN where her father was pastor of The Apostolic Church. After 12 years of pastoring in Indiana and Tennessee, they moved back to Pastor’s home State of North Carolina with their 3 children in 2005. The Akers have enjoyed serving in the ministry since 1983. They consider themselves to be some of the most blessed people on earth to serve at Covenant Life as lead Pastor and wife. They enjoy spending time with family, traveling and discovering new places in their own home state of North Carolina. The Akers family was privileged in 2013 to add a daughter-in-law to the family and they are most excited about the upcoming birth of their first grandson. They consider themselves to be some of the most blessed people on earth and love the way God’s plan is still unfolding in their lives.
